Safee might move out, ISL in a limbo!

Malaysian attacking sensation, Safee Sali might move on from Pelita Jaya after the All Indonesia Football Association(PSSI) only endorsed the Indonesian Premier League as the Indonesian Super League has not been endorsed by the main footballing body in Indonesia.

Pelita Jaya, owned by the Bakrie family is part of the Indonesian Super League. It was announced that the Indonesian Premier League led by Prima Indonesia Sportindo, is the official league for Indonesia whereas the Indonesian Super League managed by Indonesian League will never be part of PSSI's plans.

If Pelita Jaya Karawang continues to be part of the ISL, there is a possibility for them to be banned from playing in the league.

Thus, this leaves many players in a limbo and in Safee's case, many sources claimed that he is looking for a move.

Safee, moved to Pelita Jaya last season after his exploits in the AFF Suzuki Cup in 2010. Since his move, he has been the Talisman for the side as he scored 7 goals to help the side to beat the drop last season. This season, he was appointed the captain of the team and has so far scored a goal in three games for the Karawang based side.

Though his publicist, Zack Rahim quelled rumours by stating that the ISL is endorsed by FIFA and is the only league allowed to be held in Indonesia after IPL but this latest news will surely alert many fans in Malaysia and Indonesia and also teams around the region.

Brisbane Roar, which is owned by the Bakrie Family is rumoured to be team interested in Safee and other teams from the A-League have also taken notice of his exploits. Rumours are also abound that cash rich side, ATM FA from Malaysia are also interested to sign the 27 year old striker.

Safee, who underwent trials with Cardiff City in October has always stated his intent to play in a bigger league. In an interview with Astro Arena, he stated that there were several Australian and Bundesliga sides interested in his services.

With the unsettling news of the Indonesian Super League, Safee will assess his situation and look for a transfer as he wants to improve his credentials as one of the most feared South East Asian strikers and also continue playing for the Malaysian National Team.

Done and dusted, Kick off mana lu? - Selangor PKNS FC

The Malaysian League, will  usher a new era as a 'mini' revamp has been done to make the league as exciting as ever. 14 teams including Singapore Lions XII will be part of the Malaysian Super League whereas the Malaysian Premier League will see 12 team contending for the coveted league title.

Most of the team have registered their players and many of them have made pivotal signings to bolster their squad for the upcoming season. Rumblings of a wannabe sportswriter will be reviewing all the Super League sides before entering into the Malaysian Premier League. This will be an exciting season and most of the Super League teams are making headway with their signings.

Making their debut in the Malaysian Super League, Selangor PKNS FC.

Squad

Defenders    : Mohd Aizulridzwan Razali, Mohd Fadhil Mohd Hashim, Ahmad Tharmini Saiban, Mohd Zaidi Ahmad, Ahmad Azlan Zainal, Mohd Hairul Nizamm Haniff, Mohd Zulhariz Mohd Nor, Farouk Hashim, Ahmad Muslim Abdullah, Amieynuddin Mohd Nor, Nur Adli Mustafa

Midfielders    : Mohd Azrif Nasrulhaq Badrul, Mouhd Khairu Azrin Khazali, P.Rajesh, K.Premanathan, Mohd Khairul Anuar Ramli, Mohd Norhafizzuan Jailani, Azwan Malek, Mohd Fauzan Dzulkifli, Mohammad Norhisham Hassan, Mohd Idris Ahmad, Helmi Loussaief

Strikers        : Dawood Nicoise, Abdul Rahman Abdul Kadir, Rudie Ramli, Asyidi DilasharYusoff, Mohammad Khairul Akhyar Husain, Norfahmie Hadzrin Nordin

Team Manager: Haji Yaacob Haji Jailani
First team coach: Abdul Rahman Ibrahim
Team Chairman: Haji Mohd Nasir Mohd Arshad

Making their debut in the Super League, PKNS have bolstered their options with few notable signings. Players like striker, Rudie Ramli, goalkeeper, Remezey Che Ros and defender, Ahmad Azlan Zainal were roped in to improve the roster of the squad as veteran coach, Abdul Rahman Ibrahim is looking to cement their reputation in the Super League.

Abdul Rahman Ibrahim, who had 2 stints with the National team will surely want to continue hismomentous run as they have were the champions for last season's Premier League and they managed to take the scalp of several Super League sides last season.

Abdul Rahman will look to cement his reputation as an astute tactician with this club side. His meticulous planning and ability to bring out the best in players is trait that every coach in Malaysia should have. Players like Yusri Che Lah, Rosdi Talib and Manzoor Azwira were some of the players under his tutelage and many players respect his as a coach.

Helmi Loussaief and Dawood Nicoise are the foreign players roped in to bolster the attacking line of the team. Playmaker, Loussaief, from Tunisia has played in many leagues in Europe and the French based lad used to play in the Serie C1/A of Italy. Nicoise looks much accomplished as he has plied his tried in the Turkish Super League and Ligue 1. Opting for a new experience, the striker arrives with bags of expectations and Abdul Rahman claims that this lad has a surprise element in his play.

When asked whether he has any prominent players in his side, he stated that all the players are capable of rising to the occasion but he expects the likes of Rudie Ramli and Farouk Hashim to come out of their cocoons after a disappointing stint with their former clubs.

With four clubs in the fray, PKNS will look to stamp their authority but the management will be looking for a respectable finish and after that, they will continue their momentous club and who knows, they might become the next Selangor MPPJ!

Team verdict: Longshots - Being their debut season, not much expectations are placed on this team. Abdul Rahman Ibrahim may be an experienced coach but he needs time to develop this squad. They will be the team to watch in the coming years.

Player to watch: Dawood Nicoise - Having played for Ankaragucu in the Turkish Super League, the French Guinea striker will be the main man for this club side. He will be ably assisted by Rudie Ramli but he can operate on his own as his close control, pace and strength are his best attributes.

Done and dusted, Kick off mana lu? - T Team Terengganu

The Malaysian League, will see usher a new era as 'mini' revamp has been done to make the league an exciting one.

Next up, Terengganu's very own club side, PBDKT T - Team FC.

Squad
Goalkeepers: Mohd Syamsuri Mustafa, Mohd Iqbal Suhaimi, Mohd Suhardy Alby

Defenders    : Mohd Dzaiddin Zainuddin, Mohd Shahrul Ezrain Shamsuddin, Abdul Aliff Alias, Norfadzly Alias,  Sharil Faizal Sharifuddin, Rosdi Talib, Mohd Hasbullah Awang, Bojan Petric, Mohd Hassan Basri Ahmad Ridzuan

Midfielders  : Tengku Hasbullah Raja Hassan, Mohd Zharif Hasna, Ahmad Ezrie Shafizi, Wan Khairul Faiz Kamaruddin, Zairo Anuar Zalani, Azrul Hazlan Amiludin Baki, Ahmad Shahril Zakaria, Mohd Faiz Subri, Mohd Shaiful Azrin Shamsuddin

Strikers        : Badrul Hisani Abdul Rahman, Mohd Saufi Sa'adi, Mohd Fadzli Shaari, Wan Mohd Aliff Wan  Jasmi, Zachariah Simukonda

Team Manager: Rozi Mamat
First team coach: Yunus Aliff
Chairman : Datuk Abdul Rahin Mohd Said.

One of the four clubs sides participating in the Malaysian Super League, T-Team is based in Kuala Terengganu and is the sister team for Terengganu. Always overshadowed by their counterparts, Terengganu, T Team will look to improve their credentials this season.

Terengganu, which have breed many talented youngsters for the Malaysian National team have used T Team as a breeding ground for youngsters but they have since opted an experienced look this season. Players like Rosdi Talib, Zairo Anuar Zalani, Nor Fadzly Alias and Tengku Hasbullah Raja Hassan will be the experienced lads leading the squad.

However, they still have exciting youngsters in the side. Mohd Saufi Sa'adi, Wan Mohd Aliff Wan Jasmi and Mohd Zharif Hasna are exciting prospects for T-Team and they have already experienced the rigours of Super League last season. Yunus Aliff is an enterprising coach and he is a veteran in Terengganu. Coaching for more than 15 years, Yunus will be under pressure this time as this is his 3rd season with T Team and he is expected to bring significant changes to the side.

6feet 3 inches Bosnian defender, Bojan Petric will surely be a steadying presence for the T Team defense as the 27 year old centre back has looked imposing in every pre season game he has played. He will surely be a top drawer lad and T-Team will rely on his presence to bolster the team's performance. Zambian forward, Zachariah Simukonda, who proved to be a sensation in the Malaysian League after featuring for Perlis from 2005 till 2007 is making a return to the league by featuring for T Team. He maybe 35 but according to Yunus, he still has the predatory skills and the youngsters can a learn a thing or two from the Zambian.

With a mixture of experience and youth in this side, T-Team will look to finish in a respectable position and they will still remain under the shadows of the Terengganu state football team. However, if the players find their chemistry early, then we might see a shock this season.

Player to watch: Zachariah Simukonda - 35 years old and he still bangs in the goals. Being the top scorer for Red Arrows FC in the Zambian League, the Zambian international has what it takes to bring this side a notch higher and he will be ably assisted by Mohd Fadzly Shaari and Mohd Saufi Sa'adi.

Team verdict: Underdogs - They will surely push for the top 5 spot but if they can't gel, we might see them in mid table.

Done and dusted, Kick off, mana lu? - Terengganu FAs

The Malaysian League, will see usher a new era as 'mini' revamp has been done to make the league an exciting one.

2nd in Super League, they will be looking to nab the title, Terengganu is the team to watch now!

Squad
Goalkeepers: Mohd Shahril Shaa'ri, Mohd Fakhrurazi Musa, Mohd Sharmiza Yusoff, Mohd Sharbinee Allawee

Defenders   : Mohd Faizal Muhammad, Mohd Muhaimin Omar, Mohd Muslim Ahmad, Hasmizan Kamaroddin, Mazlizam Mohammad, Mohd Zubir Azmi, Mohd Marzuki Yusoff, Hariri Mohd Saifi, Wan Fahmi Afandi Wan Ali, Ahmad Takhiyuddin Roslan, Che Haiqal Che Salam

Midifielders   : Reesyafiq Alwi, Abdul Shukur Jusoh, Ismail Faruqi Asha'ri, Shamsul Kamal Mohd, Joseph Kallang Tie, Ahmad Nordin Alias, Mohd Ashaari Shamsuddin, Tercio Nunes Machado, Nor Ikhwan Alias

Strikers      : Abdul Hadi Yahya, Mohd Ailim Fahmi, Abdul Manaf Mamat, Mahamadou Suamareh, Rahmat Hassan

Team Manager: Mat Zan Mat Aris
Team Coach    : Mat Zan Mat Aris
Team President: Datuk Che Mat Jusoh

One of the most consistent sides in the Malaysian league, the East Coast side will be hellbent on winning the Super League this season. Having won the FA cup last season, the team is currently led by Mat Zan Mat Aris as Irfan Bakti has moved on to Selangor. Impressing last season, they have the capability to be consistent the whole season.

With the core of the squad remaining, players like Abdul Hadi Yahya, Ashaari Shamsuddin, Abdul Manaf Mamat, Marzuki Yusoff, and Ismail Faruqi will have what it takes to bring this side closer to the title. Having nearly toppled Kelantan in the Super League, these players have been playing together for the past three years.

Mat Zan has gotten a formidable squad from Irfan Bakti and he has since added youngsters into the side. Harimau Muda's seasoned lads, Abdul Shukor Jusoh, Muslim Ahmad and Faizal Muhammad will surely be providing competition for their seniors as their exploits with Harimau Muda has been well documented and Mat Zan knows, he has got three gems in his hands.

Terengganu is known for its sturdy defence, reliable midfield and fluid attacking and with the players that they have, it is bound to continue. With Muslim coming in to partner Marzuki and Shukor Jusoh partnering Ismail Faruqi, things are bound to get interesting for Terengganu.

However, their foreign signings are left much to be desired as they have opted for veteran, Tercio Nunes Machado and 19 year old Gambian, Mahamadou Suamareh. Tercio, who has played in the Malaysian league before with KL Plus looks likely to be the architect for the team but at the age of 33, age might not be kind on his side. Suamareh, who only got the call after Sibi Gwar couldn't sign his contract, will be interesting prospect but in this league, proven pedigree is important.

Terengganu will be looking forward for next season's challenge as they have assembled their squad and they look strong for the title. Their challengers would surely be Kelantan and Selangor as these 2 teams have made significant changes to mount a serious challenge for the title.

Team verdict: Favourites - Watch out for this team, with three Harimau Muda players on board, things are bound to get interesting

Player to watch: Muslim Ahmad - Watch out for his combination with MarzukiYusoff. A seasoned veteran and a budding prospect, Terengganu fans will surely be savouring the prospects of a moutwatering defense.

Here is the first club team in Malaysia, Johor FC!

Squad
Goalkeepers    : Mohd Zamir Selamat, Mohd Fazli Paat, Mohd Anis Faron Mohd Arsidi

Defenders    : Mohd Badrul Khalid, Ismail Suboh, Mohd Izuan Jarudin, Mohd Khairi Kiman, Mohd Khaironnisam Sahabuddin, Shafizan Hashim

Midfielders      : Mohd Khairul Ismail, Eddy Helmy Abdul Manan, Mohd Riduwan Ma'on, Azi Shahril Azmi, Mohd Syazwan Zainon, , Ahmad Fauzi Shaari

Strikers             : Shahrizal Saad, Mohd Farid Ideris, Fandi Bin Ahmad, Mohd Zamri Chin, Mohd Haris Safwan Kamal,

Team Manager  : Mohd Faizal Abdullah
First team coach: K.Devan
Team Chairman : Ahamad Mohammad

Being the first club to take part in the Malaysian league, Johor FC is a force to be reckoned for many years. Once dubbed as 'Chievo' of Malaysia, this team has gone through a steady rise but for the past 2 years, their performance have been declined a little.

However, this season, with a new coach on board, things looks promising for the Pasir Gudang based side. K.Devan, formerly the coach and manager of Selangor has been given the role to chart the fortunes of Johor FC. Keeping most of the veterans in the squad, he has brought in influential and experienced league players into the squad.

Defenders,Khaironnisam Sahabuddin and Shafizan Hashim, midfielders, Azi Shahril Azmi and Ahmad Fauzi Shaari and strikers,Haris Safwan Kamal and Zamri Chin were signed to bolster each position in the team. K.Devan has meticulously selected his squad and stated that he had the freedom to make his signings.

Tiago Azulao and Tito Fernando,2 Brazilian youngsters who have gained rave reviews from the fans will not be competing in the league as the players were not recognised by FAM as they did not fir the criteria set by the National football body. The team management has sent an appeal to FAM as the players have adapted to the conditions and K.Devan claims that the players have been phenomenal with the side so far.

Some of the players who played last season will have to buck up if they were to remain in the team as the new signings look strong. However, players like Eddi Helmy Abdul Manan, Shahrizal Saad and Mohd Khairi Kiman will be indispensable to the squad as their experience will be important towards the team.

Team verdict: Darkhorses - Many expect them to be the longshots but they will surely prove everyone wrong this season. A seasoned coach on board, this team will surely rise from the ashes and with such signings, the team looks strong to finish the season well ahead of their expectations.

Player to watch: Azi Shahril Azmi -  Every team needs a midfield general and he is the right fit for Johor FC. Having won the Merdeka Cup with Malaysia in 2006, the 26 year old enforcer would surely be an important asset for K.Devan. Being able to set an attack and at the same time, break an attack, this midfielder will be the man to bring this team forward.

Done and dusted! Kick off mana lu? - Felda United

The Malaysian League, will see usher a new era as 'mini' revamp has been done to make the league an exciting one.

A team with marked improvements, Felda United!

Squad
Goalkeepers: Mohd Hamsani Ahmad, Mohd Suffian Abdul Rahman, Mohd Syamim Othman

Defenders    : Mohd Farid Ramli, Mohd Nazri Ahmad, M.Sivakumar, Matias Favano, Mohd Irfan Abdul Ghani, Abdul Ghani Abdul Rahman, Mohd Juzaili Samion

Midfielders     : Mohd Raimi Mohd Nor, Yong Kuong Yong, Mohammad Hardi Jaafar, Khairan Ezuan Rosli, S.Sivanesan

Strikers           : Mohd Azrul Ahmad, Farderin Kadir, Ahmad Aminuddin Shahruddin, Mohd Nizad Ayub, Mohd Norizam Salaman, Ahmad Fakri Saarani,  Santiago Bianchi

Team Manager: Faisal Zakariah
Team Coach   : E. Elavarasan
Team Chairman: Datuk Dzulkifli Abdul Wahab

One of the four clubs taking part in the Super League, Felda United has gone great heights since their participation in 2007. Bankrolled by Felda, the team has improved considerably every season and last season they were placed 11th in their debut season.

Led by charismatic coach, E.Elavarasan, the team has gone through changed this season as he has opted to bring in new blood to chart the fortunes of the team. Last season, they had experienced heads like Khaironnisam Sahabuddin, Mohd Badrul Razi, Mohd Nizaruddin Yusoff and Liew Kit Kong but this season, they have all moved on and E.Elavarasan and the management has brought in youngsters.

Khairan Ezuan Rosli, Yong Kuong Yong, Mohd Nazri Ahmad, S.Sivanesan and Mohd Nizad Ayub will surely be the toast for the team as these are hot prospects for the country. Yong Kuong Yong, who recently won the SEA games gold medal with the Malaysian football team will be an asset for the club side. His jinking runs, determination, and crosses will be vital towards the team's attacking cog.

They have also brought in 2 Argentinians to the squad. Though murmurs stated that they were going to African but they have since opted for the well traveled Argentinians. Matias Favano and Santiago Bianchi have experienced many leagues in their careers and their experience would be important towards the team's growth.

Mohd Hardi Jaafar's transfer from Selangor will also be important as the 32 year old midfielder will add steel in the team's young midfield. Temperamental yet effective, the Perak born midfielder will be relied heavily by the club side.

Felda United will surely have a strong outing in the league but they will not be able to dethrone the likes of Kelantan, Terengganu and Selangor. E.Elavarasan have been an important force in the team and his presence will surely improve the squad's fortunes.

Team verdict: Longshots - They will finish in a respectable position but will never have a sniff on the title.

Player to watch: Yong Kuong Yong - The 22 year old winger will be an important player for Felda United. Impressing with Kuala Lumpur last season, the National player will be providing the ammunition for the likes of Azrul Ahmad, Santiago Bianchi and Farderin Kadir.

Done and dusted! Kick off mana lu? - Selangor FA

The Malaysian League, will see usher a new era as 'mini' revamp has been done to make the league an exciting one.

Who can forget this team, Selangor a.k.a Red Giants!

Squad
Goalkeepers: G.Jeevanathan, Norazlan Razali, Mohd Fairul Azwan

Defenders    : Asrarudin Putra, Ramez Dayoub, Mohd Hasmarul Fadzir Hassan, P.Gunalan, Khairul Anuar Khalid, Razman Roslan, Mohd Nasriq Baharom

Midfielders   : Azidan Saruddin, Mohd Amirulhadi Zainal, Mohd Fitri Shazwan, Mohd Fazilidin Khalid, Wan Mohd Hoesne Wan Hussein, Adib Aizuddin Abdul Latif, Bunyamin Umar, K.Soley, Safiq Rahim(rolling contract), K.Gurusamy

Strikers         : R.Surendran, Fairul Asyraf Sayuti, Lelo Mbele, Amri Yahyah

Team Manager: Datuk Hamidin Amin
First Team coach: Mohd Irfan Bakti
Team Chairman: Tan Sri Datuk Seri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim

Selangor didn't have a productive season last season as they finished empty handed and K.Devan succumbed to the pressure as he resigned from his post as the team manager and first team coach. This season, they have made colossal changes and with a new coach on board, Selangor looks strong for the Super League.

Having released many players from the squad, Irfan and the management has brought in young blood for the team. Though they may have released the likes of Fadzli Shaari, Hardi Jaafar, D.Surendran, Rudie Ramli and     Saiful Amar Sudar, they have brought in youngsters like K.Gurusamy, Wan Mohd Hoesne Wan Hussein, Fairul Asyraf Sayuti and Adib Aizuddin to bolster the squad.

With such changes taking place, fans would be expecting more from the Klang Valley giants. Furthermore, they have brought in 2 seasoned foreigners to the side. Lebanese defender, Ramez Dayoub and Congolese forward, Lelo Mbele have had years of experience in many Asian leagues. Dayoub looks formidable in defence whereas Mbele looks to be a hot shot as he has been a wicked in the pre season games.
One notable mention in this squad is the signing of 2 formidable goalkeepers for the side. Last season, they had to be contend with Iqbal Suhaimi and the erratic Saiful Amar Sudar. However, this season, they will be glad to have Norazlan Razali and G.Jeevanathan in their squad. Both keepers have been called up by Datuk K.Rajagopal last season and since their call ups, they have not looked back!

Selangor will have to do well this season and Irfan Bakti will have a tough time facing teams in the league. Irfan will have to foster teamwork and determination in the team, in which they lacked last season. Hamidin and his management will need to be on their toes and satisfy the needs of their fans.

Verdict: Favourites - With a younger squad and an experienced coach, Selangor will surely be the favourites for the title.

Player to watch: Amri Yahyah - He may be 30, but he still has what it takes to take this team forward. His movement, awareness, finishing and close control are his best attributes and with Mbele, they will be the combination to watch next season. Expect the numero uno to continue wielding the goods for Selangor next season.

Done and dusted! Kick-off, mana lu? - Perak FA

The Malaysian League, will see usher a new era as 'mini' revamp has been done to make the league an exciting one.

Next, Perak FA!

Squad
Goalkeepers: Khairul Amri Salehuddin, Kamarul Effendy Abdul Rahim, Mohd Nasril Mat Nourdin

Defenders   : Mohd Khairi Zainuddin, Mohd Badrul Azam Mohd Zamri, Chan Wing Hoong, Mohd Syazwan Roslan, Mohd Shahrom Abdul Kalam, Mohd Noor Hazrul Mustafa, Mohd Hisyammuddin Syaari

Midfielders  : Fahrul Razi Kamruddin, Shahrulnizam Mustapha(Captain), Mohd Nazri Kamal, Wan Hossein Wan Abdul Ghani, Mohd Fazrul Hazli Mohd Kadri, K.Nanthakumar, Isma Alif Mohd Salim, Muhd Nurridzuan Abu Hassan, Mohd Shazuan Ashraff Matthews, Mohd Rafiuddin Roddin, Michal Kubala

Strikers       : Muhd Shafiq Jamal, Akmal Rizal Ahmad Rakhli, Mohd Failee Mohd Ghazali, Lazar Popovic

Team Manager: Khairul Azwan Harun
First Team coach: Norizan Bakar
Team Chairman: Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharuddin

Finishing in 6th place last season, Perak is slowly making a comeback. Having been in the doldrums for the past 5 years, last season they were impressive as the stunned the likes of Kelantan and Kedah and finished respectably in the Super League and Malaysia Cup.

Coached by former National tactician, Norizan Bakar, Perak has gone through colossal changes as they brought in experienced hands to steady the ship last season. Players like Shahrulnizam Mustapha, Akmal Rizal Ahmad Rakhli and Khairi Zainuddin have been pinnacle towards the team's success and they have remained with the Kejor Yep Kejor squad this season.

Khairul Azwan who made announcements that he will sign top quality lads such as Abdul Hadi Yahya, Safiq Rahim and Mohd Fadhli Shas could only be content with former Kuala Lumpur players, Fahrul Razi Kamaruddin and Mohd Shahrom Abdul Kalam and Mohd Badrul Azam Mohd Zamri, who last played for Felda United. Mohd Shahrom Abdul Kalam would be the player to watch as the rightback was formerly the team captain and earned his first cap for Malaysia after impressing with Kuala Lumpur in the Super League.

He also made Rafiuddin Roddin and Failee Ghazali as permanent Perak players as both of them impressed in the Malaysia Cup campaign. Failee's signing has been well received by the fans as he was the top scorer for Perak in the Malaysia Cup campaign. The 24 year old will have to be at his toes as he will face stiff competition from the likes of Akmal, Shafiq and Popovic.

Perak have opted midfielder, Michal Kubala and striker, Lazar Popovic to fill the foreign player quota set by FAM. Both having experience playing in Europe, they have impressed Cikgu Jan in their brief trials with the team and many are hoping that they create the 'Krescka-Repasi' impact again! 31 year old Kubala last played in the Romanian top division and his experience will be vital for the young lads in Perak. Lazar Popovic is a towering presence and he has been selected by Serbia several times for B friendlies. He will surely be a hit with the fans as his scoring credentials have been good and he comes in with glowing reviews.

Perak will surely be the darkhorses for this competition but Norizan Bakar will surely have some tricks in his sleeves. Having thrashed Kelantan last season, Perak can do the unexpected and who knows, this might be the season for them. If the experienced heads, youngsters and foreigners combine well, then you will surely see the heydays of  Perak coming back again.

Verdict: Darkhorses - Perak will need to be consistent if they were to win the league but with the likes of Kelantan, Terengganu and Selangor improving their squads, it would be tough one for Perak

Player to watch: Akmal Rizal Ahmad Rakhli - Being in the wrong side of 30, the oppurtunistic striker will surely be relied by Norizan Bakar for this upcoming campaign. Though, Perak have been bolstered by the arrival of Kubala and Popovic, Akmal will be the main man for Perak. His awareness, finishing and off the ball movement is off exemplary though age had caught up to him. Watch out for this lad, he will be the sniper for Perak!

Done and Dusted! Kick-off, mana lu? - Kelantan

The Malaysian League, will see usher a new era as 'mini' revamp has been done to make the league an exciting one.

First up, Kelantan FA!

Squad
Goalkeepers: Khairul Fahmi Che Mat, Mohd Shahrizan Ismail, Syazwan Yusof

Defenders    : Azizi Mat Rose, S.Subramaniam, Emmanuel Okine, Nik Shahrul Azim, Mohd Farisham Ismail,     Mohd Abdul Aziz Ismail, Mohd Zamri Ramli, Mohd Daudsu Jamaluddin, Mohd Rizal Fahmi, Zairul Fitree Ishak

Midfielders   : Mohd Shakir Shaari, Mohd Norfarhan Mohamad, Mohd Nurul Azwan Roya, Indra Putra Mahayuddin, Mohd Badri Mohd Radzi(Captain), Zakaria Charara, S.Chanturu, Muhd Izuan Solehuddin, Khairul Izuan Rosli

Strikers        : Mohd Ramzul Zahini Adnan, Norshahrul Idlan Talaha, Denny Antwi, Mohammed Ghaddar, Azlan Ismail, Aris Zaidi

Team Manager    : Azman Ibrahim
First Team Coach: Peter James Butler
Team Chairman    : Tan Sri Annuar Musa

Super League champions last season, Kelantan looks strong on paper and they have made signings on par of their status as the Nation's top team. Peter James Butler returns after Datuk M.Karathu resigned from his post as the first team coach of Kelantan. The former BEC Tero Sasana Manager is a fan favourite in Kelantan as he coached the team in 2008.

Taking part in the Malaysian Super League, AFC Cup, Malaysia FA Cup and Malaysia Cup, Kelantan has a squad that is able to fight for all the titles. Having filled the quota for foreign players, they have added two more lad for their challenge in the AFC Cup. Serious in making an impression in the AFC Cup, they have signed 4 lads who are able to bring this team to great heights.

Having yet to decide on who to select for the 2 Foreign player quota in the Super League, Kelantan have pledged to make the decision final in the weeks to come. However, according to murmurs,Lebanese International striker,Mohammed Ghaddar and Ghanaian defender,Emmanuel Okine have bagged the spot for the Super League.

Kelantan have also taken attacking midfielders Indra Putra Mahayuddin and Norfarhan Mohammad and defender Azizi Mat Rose from T Team Terengganu. Having featured for them since 2009, their additions will surely bolster the already brilliant squad. Striker, Azlan Ismail, who had a mixed time with Kedah, will be the donning the red and white stripes of Kelantan and he will provide competition for Ghaddar and Malaysian attacking sensation, Norshahrul Idlan Talaha.

Kelantan looks to be the favourites to nail the Super league title but they will face tough competition from Selangor, Kedah and Terengganu. With the likes of Khairul Fahmi Che Mat, Fahrisham Ismail, Nurul Azwan Roya and inspirational captain, Badri Radzi still loyal toward the Red Warriors cause, Kelantan will surely be a tough nut to crack next season.

Verdict: Favourites - They only have themselves to beat, great squad, capable coach...Looks strong for the title

Player to watch: Mohammed Ghaddar - Being the first Lebanese to play in the Malaysian League, the 27 year old international is proven goalscorer and is a regular for Lebanon. Having plied his trade in many Middle Eastern leagues, expect him to be the main goalscorer for Kelantan!

Big statements! Mediocre signings!

"Salam..Sila petik kenyataan saya segera..PAFA amat serius menawarkan kontrak professional kpd syafiq rahim, pemain selangor utk mewakili pasukan perak musim depan.Surat tawaran telah diserahkan kpd beliau lebih 2 minggu sudah setelah mendapat lampu hijau dari FA Selangor.PAFA juga bersedia untuk berbincang dgn syafiq rahim sekiranya tawaran yang dibuat tempoh hari masih belum menarik buat beliau..Tq Khairul Azwan - Pengurus Pasukan Perak / Bendahari Kehormat PAFA"

I received this text on the 23rd of October 2011. Till now, there are no signs stating that Safiq Rahim will be playing for Perak. Currently on trials with Cardiff City, the midfielder looks set for the Indonesian League after his trials with Cardiff. Khairul Azwan also lost on on Abdul Hadi Yahya and Fadhli Shas as their teams, Terengganu and Harimau Muda A looks set on keeping them.

The remedy, getting 3 players from the Klang Valley region.Abdul Shahrom Kalam, Mohammad Badrul Azam Mohd Zamri and Fahrul Razi Kamaruddin were signed by Perak to bolster the squad led by Norizan Bakar. Though they are not mouth watering signings but they are proven professional. Having impressed in the Malaysian Super League and also the Malaysia Cup, these two lads will add more dynamism and guile in the team.

Abdul Shahrom Kalam should be an interesting signing as the former Kuala Lumpur captain had an impressive season with Kuala Lumpur. The right back got his first cap for the Malaysian senior squad this season and since then, many clubs were interested to sign this lad. The 26 year old defender will surely be drafted into the first team and he will provide competition for youngster, Syazwan Roslan. His timing, awareness, tackles and leadership qualities are his best attributes and this will surely be in good stead for the Kinta Valley based squad.

Fahrul Razi Kamaruddin, 25, will provide competition for Failee Ghazali, Safiq Jamal, Shazuan Ashraff Matthews and Akmal Rizal Rakhli. The striker who plied his trade with Kuala Lumpur wasn't prolific as Yuen Kuon Yong but he makes it up with his workrate, tenacity and determination. Having played in the 2010 Universiade, the former UITM student will surely be a great addition for the squad. Who knows, he might spring a surprise or two for Norizan Bakar.

Badrul Azam Mohd Zamri, 27, will add much needed experience for the midfield which boost Shahrulnizam Mustapha and K.Nanthakumar. The former Felda United midfielder has expressed delight as he is back with his hometown team and he will do his best to help the team gain a respectable standing in the Super League. A much improved player after turning out for Felda United, the Perak born lad's awareness, runs, passes and workrate will be relied upon by the team.

Though they may not sound like big name signings, but they are enough to improve the current squad that we have. With another 2 foreign players entering the fray, Perak will surely be ready for the 2012 season. According to rumours, Perak have already snapped a South Korean lad but this are unconfirmed reports. The selection is still ongoing and the management has pledged to the fans that they will go till the core to search for the best foreign players.
