Perak aims to get at least one trophy!

After defeating Pos Malaysia last Friday, Perak's head coach, Norizan Bakar has stated that he will do his best to ensure that Perak nails at least one title for the upcoming Malaysian League.

The former Perlis tactician who had an above average campaign with Perak last season will be under pressure to win at least a title as the management has set a goal of winning one trophy if they were to assess the season as a success.

"My hopes for the team is always to do their best in the league and together with the management, I will do my utmost best to ensure that they achieve their target"

After beating the 'Postmens', 3-1, the man dubbed as 'Cikgu Jan' stated that this game was for the players to gain some match fitness and at the same time, he wanted to find the right combination of players for his first eleven.

Perak's captain, Shahrulnizam Mustapha stated that the officials and the players have the same vision and  goals for the side as they want to appease the needs of the fans by winning at least a trophy for the 2012 season.

"The vision and target set by the management certainly adheres with my personal aim, as I want to help Perak dominate the M-League and at the same time, prove to the other teams that we are back on track"

When asked about the signings of Serbian striker, Lazar Popovic and Slovakian midfielder, Michal Kubala, the 30 year old midfielder stated that they have improved the squad and their combination with the local lads will improve game by game.

Akmal Rizal Rakhli, who was the top scorer for Perak last season with 13 goals has set a target of scoring at least 20 goals in the league. The former Kelantan striker who is expected to partner 28 year old, Popovic upfront has commended the arrival of the 2 East Europeans.

"Since they started playing for Perak, they have brought in vast tactical awareness and this has improved the squad considerably,

"We have played with Popo and Kuba for a month and we have blended well with them though some of the players need to understand their game play" stated the former National striker.

Perak will kick off their season by facing reigning FA Cup champions, Terengganu on the 10th of January at their fortress, The Perak Stadium.
