Safee to Muangthong United?

Runners up of the Thai FA Cup, Muangthong United is rumoured to be interested to sign Pelita Jaya captain, Safee Sali.

According to Thai Sports news portal, Siam Sport, The 2009 and 2010 Thai League champions are interested to sign him as has been impressive in the Indonesia Super League.

Robbie Fowler, the club’s player – manager is on the prowl for a top forward and he seem to have set his eye on the former Selangor striker.

The Malaysian, who is currently the top scorer for Pelita Jaya is hellbent on staying with his team till his contract ends but if the PSSI issue is not resolved, he has since said that he might look for another club.

The PSSI is currently in the midst of an issue regarding their official league with the Indonesian Super League (ISL) deemed to be unofficial

Rumors also suggest that Safee Sali could also move to Belgian side CV Vise or A-League outfit Brisbane Roar. Both clubs are under the ownership of the Bakrie Family, who also run Safee's current club Pelita Jaya.
