Akmal, Shahrulnizam, Nasril and Azmeer will face the Rhinos!! =)

Akmal Rizal Rakhli is a happy man on this month syawal as he will be available to play against Sabah at the Likas Stadium. He announced this in his facebook profile and Perak fans will surely rejoice with this news.

It was first reported that the players appeal was rejected but FAM just announced that the ban will only start after the FAM Disciplinary Board meeting on the 7th of September. The appeals will be referred during the meeting and the fate of the players will be decided after the meeting.

Perak's skipper, Shahrulnizam Mustapha, right back, Syazwan Roslan, goalkeeper, Nasril Nourdin, defender, Azmeer Yusoff and Akmal were given a 7 game ban by FAM for the fracas at the Navy Stadium during the Sabah vs Perak game.

Many fans ridiculed FAM's decision to ban the players but with the FA sending an appeal letter to the FAM Disciplinary Board, the fans were optimistic with the chances of seeing their bans reduced.

Having them in the squad would be a morale booster for the first game as they want to avenge their harrowing draw against Sabah at the Navy Stadium. New players like Rafiuddin Roddin, Failee Ghazali and Hafisizuan Salehuddin will surely add some zest to the team.

Norixan Bakar will be the happiest man as he has a full squad to select for the Sabah game except for Syazwan Roslan who is recovering from a knee injury. With such news during the syawal month, Perak will surely want to win their tie and have a great start to the Malaysia Cup campaign.

Avinesh's verdict: Hopefully the ban will be reduced..7 is atrocious la FAM!! Even the English FA wouldn't take such an action for that fracas...

  1. Perfect! Just in time! I don't want to be over-skeptical at the same time too optimistic about how the team will fare for the upcoming tournament, however, if perak are able to reach at least the quarter finals, we've already proved alot. Judging from the previous (and final) league game against Selangor and with the abundance of youngsters (experience doubted) , the team's performance is simply poor and in fact, does not resemble our reputation we had earlier of the last season. I hope Cikgu Jan and his team are well prepared for the cup, i think we already have enough preparation fixing what's not right within the squad, and i seriously hope that the youngsters we had placed throughout the season will improve their performance after looking really overwhelmed on the field most of the time.

I'm not trying to be a pundit, but this is my point of view.

  2. bro, last season we were shambles! Placed 11th in the Super League and were whipped in the Malaysia Cup.. This season, the lads look much better and I've a feeling we will qualify for the quarter finals together with Kedah. The new loan signings have acclimatized well to the surroundings but only Hafisizuan needs to buck up. =)
