Gazidis just made the WRONG statement!!

"We would rather qualify for it but we have a really sustainable model that can cope. Not just cope, but we can do well and compete.
"It would be very foolish to build a business model that relied on being in the Champions League for perpetuity and I don't think any clubs do that and, if they do, then they probably aren't being run as responsibly as they should be."
These are the words of Ivan Gazidis, Arsenal's American Chief Executive. Financially, yes, the club is primed and prepared if UEFA implements the Financial fair play. However, stating that we could still compete financially if we miss the champions league. Are you out of your freaking mind!!

For 14 seasons, we have been in the Champions League. Discussing about the prospect of losing out a spot in it!! You have just gone into the bad books, Yankee! That's is not a good statement. Even the players would be upset with that statement.

In a way, he has dampened the morale of the team and the squad by saying so. Arsenal maybe on a downward spiral currently but every big team, will have its time and I reckoned that Arsenal will bounce back with the players they have. Change in formation, tactics and new ways of drills would pull the team out of their drought.

I would also like to say that the Media has something against this tea, Firstly, Van Persie's case. His contract is expiring in 2013 but the media has already speculated that Manchester City will sign the Dutchmen! I was like, he has 2 more years left and why the need to speculate now! Some have said that he doesn't want to pen a new contract. I was like, 2 years man! When its 2012, he will surely sign an extension.

Then, Walcott rumours started to come and I told myself, this will be the hardest season yet for Monsieur Wenger. For 15 years, he has been a loyal servant to the Ashburton Grove side but this season, he has come under scathing criticisms from the press and Arsenal fans. Drubbing from Manchester United was the worst moment ever and since then, the team's form has been erratic.

The new players have been average while the youngsters are still finding it hard to impose themselves. However, one player that will surely be the man to watch is Alex Oxlade Chamberlain. The lad should be given more oppurtunities and I'm sure he will do well for the squad. Wenger should start playing two man forward as Park Chu Young can be an able partner for Van Persie. Chamberlain and Walcott can blaze the wings, whereas Arteta and Song can move the midfield.

Like I've said, risk should be taken and I think this is the best time to take it. Wenger is wiseman but he should silently advise Gazidis to do the talking internally rather than going public with his statements! It's seriously gut wrenching to see such statements as it would surely demoralise the structure of the club.

Avinesh says: We shall all unite and continue supporting the club we love the most! Arsenal all the way and we will surely bounce back! =)
