Perak will have to go ALL OUT!!

What an encounter!! Fierce rivals Selangor and Perak will be facing off in the 2nd leg of the Malaysian Cup quarter finals today at the Perak Stadium, Ipoh.

Losing 3-0 in the first leg, Perak will surely take adavantage of their home soil as their hellbent on qualifying for the semi finals of the cup formerly known as Piala HMS.

Norizan Bakar, Perak's coach will surely want a win as he stated that they had no choice but to win this leg!

"We have no choice but to win. The players must double their effort. What's happened is in the past and there is no use thinking about it.

"It is up to the players to make sure what they want is realised" said Norizan after the first leg game at Shah Alam Stadium.

Against Selangor, Safiq Rahim proved his credentials by notching 2 top class free kicks to help Selangor win 3-1 in their game last Monday.

He will surely be the main man for Selangor as well as skipper, Amri Yahyah as the veteran's, slalom runs and awareness should be guarded by the Perak defense.

P.Maniam, who has steadied the ship for Selangor will surely want to nail this tie as he want to cement himself as the tactician for Selangor and also continue their mission to collect their 33rd Malaysian cup title.

Norizan Bakar will have to check on his defence as they were caught napping at some situations during their game at Shah Alam. The usually reliable Khairi Zainuddin and Hishyamuddin Syaari were caught off guard many times in the first hal but they bucked up the second half.

With the return of Shahrulnizam Mustapha and Akmal Rizal Rakhli, Perak will have a much stronger squad and I'm expecting both of them to be drafted in the first eleven.

Both did look rusty after a long layoff, but their presence and charisma certainly helped the squad when both of them entered as substitutes.

Shahrulnizam would be the man to watch as his leadership and ability to move the engine room will be a source of inspiration for the 'Seladang' side! Akmal Rizal, though at the wrong side of 30, uses his experience well as he had chances to reduce the deficit against Selangor.

Failee Ghazali should be at his best for this game as he is already fan favourite. The Parit Buntar lad who recently signed a contract with Perak, will surely want to add to his 5 goals as he is itching to help Perak qualify for the semis and at the same time, get noticed by National tactician, Datuk K.Rajagopal.

Today, the response will surely be boisterous as the fans has vowed to fill up the seats in the stadium and be the 12th man for the state side.

I will be going for the game tonight hoping that Perak will qualify for the semi finals. To all the fans, please support the team and make sure the Selangor fans get frightened by our cheers and response.

Kejor Yeop Kejor!!! We must make this 2-0 or more and ensure that we are on track on rebuilding the side who last won the title in 2001!!
