Slovakian League beckons for three youngsters...

When I was browsing through the pages of Sinar Harian(Not sure whether It's Monday or Tuesday's edition) I was brough aback by the news that Slovakian League team, Zlate Moravce Vion FC(Sounds like a spaceship name lee...) is eyeing three of our youngsters.

Having impressed in the Tour of Slovakia, Attacking Midfielders, Irfan Fazail and Wan Zack Wan Haikal and National team defender Mohd Fadhli Shas have been offered a loan spell with the Slovakian team till the league ends.

The team which is placed third in the Slovakian First Division, once tried to rope in Muslim Ahmad and Gary Steven Robbat into the team but now they have turned their attention towards the three 20 year old's.

Wan Zack Wan Haikal, was reported to have been offered a trial with premier league side, Wigan Athletic, have been the toast for the team at Slovakia as he impressed against the Slovakian and Hungarian sides.

Well built and athletic, the 20 year old lass would surely thrive on the prospect on testing himself in European pastures. If this stint comes true, we will see a different Wan Zack and he will be an asset for us in the years to come.

Irfan Fazail who scored world class goals against Lebanon and Pakistan in the Olympic Qualifiers have been tipped for stardom by many football enthusiast in Malaysia. An element of surprise in the element, the diminutive midfielder has etched his name in the heart of Malaysian thanks to his goals.

Mohd Fadhli Shas, having come through a battering defeat against Singapore in the World Cup Qualifiers, will need a tonic to rebuild his reputation and playing in the Slovak League, will be the tonic!!

The tall, lanky and inspirational defender have been criticied by many fans and media for his sub par performances in the two leg game against regional rivals, Singapore. Easily beaten by a 41 year old striker, his confidence was battered but regained his composure in the tour of Slovakia.

Impressing in all the friendlies, the proposed loan offer by Moravce Vion FC will help aid his development. These will ensure that the Malaysian squad will have a defender being able to handle the rigours of any team.

Ong Kim Swee, Harimau Muda's coach have stressed the importance of these players playing in the Slovak League. By playing there, they will improve the quality of the National team and the dream of qualifying for the Asia Cup 2015 on merit will come true.

This is a great news for the Malaysian football and I would like to wish them luck, if they ply their trade with the Slovakian club.

Avinesh's verdict: From Indonesia to Slovakia, our players are beginning to spread their wings!! GO HARIMAU MALAYA!! =)
