Sydney beckons for Harimau Malaya...

K. Rajagopal will be a happy man as his squad has been invited to face with Asian powerhouse, Australia for a friendly at Sydney.

The news, which was posted in FAM's twitter account, was lauded by many fans around Malaysia. Though we are out of the World Cup Qualifiers, facing the Socceroos will be a good exposure for the talented squad.

K. Rajagopal who has been fretting that he is unable to get quality opponents for friendlies, will surely breath a sigh of relief as his young squad will be facing a team that has played in the last 2 editions of the World Cup.

Goal.com, who first reported about the proposed game against the Socceroos, posted the news on the Asian Edition portal and many Malaysians have shared their joy through social networking sites.

The prospect of facing players like Luke Wilshere, Brett Emerton, Scott McDonald, Mark Schwarzer and Sasa Ognjenovski will be a good exposure for the Malaysian lads.

Furthermore, the Malaysian players should impose themselves in the friendly as they might be scouted by Australian clubs.

A League which has seen developments for many season, will be stronger this season, as Australian Internationals like Harry Kewell and Brett Emerton have returned back and will make the league a stronger one.

Players like S.Kunalan, Amirulhadi Zainal and Ismail Faruqi should take this chance to improve themselves and become better players in the coming years.

Avinesh's verdict: At last, K. Rajagopal gets his wish!!
