Unruly fans mars Perak victory

The Perak vs Kedah game had to be stopped for 11 minutes, as fans went overboard with their celebrations after Failee Ghazali scored the winning goal.

Match referee, Kamal Bin Ahmad stopped the game at the 37th minute as his assistant referee, Mohd Azha Bin Khalid got hit by a bottle and fans threw lots of confetti into the pitch.

The tempo of the game was destructed and RELA officers circulated around the stadium to keep a keen eye on the fans.

During the game also, Police caught a fan who had fireworks and explosives in his beg. The man who is to be in his 20s at that time was questioned by the police.

However, Perak fans had a smile on their faces, as Perak defeated regional rivals, Kedah in a pulsating match at the Perak Stadium.

Goals from Mohammad Shafiq Jamal and Mohammad Failee Ghazali were enough to triumph against group favourites, Kedah. Wan Jamak Wan Hassan's man replied through National player, Mohammad Khyril Muhymeen Zambri.

Perak will now face Sabah on Saturday at the Perak Stadium for their last home match of the Malaysia Cup Group stages campaign.
