Perak players made Selangor's defense look good..

What a shocking display from the side from Ipoh. They were just shambolic, out of sorts and never had the inspiration to come out with the goods for the game.

Although, three of the five suspended players, Akmal Rizal Rakhli, Shahrulnizam Mustapha and Nasril Nourdin were back into the squad, they couldn't topple the Klang Valley side who played a simple yet efficient game.

Norizan Bakar who should be fretting about the performances of the players will be looking forward to next season as the management has decided to rebrand and revamp the state team for the upcoming challenge next season.

Today's game certainly saw many frailties in the side and few players should be mention as they have certainly did not live up to their standard as a top notch professional player.

I may be a journalist only, but i observe things and when i feel there is something amiss, I would surely want to comment on it and make sure that it would be a constructive criticism.

Failee Ghazali, who had a impressive campaign in the Malaysia Cup looked a shadow of himself in today's game. Not getting the service that he wanted, he had to play for himself and his combination with Akmal Rizal Rakhli didn't seem to hit the key note.

The 24 year old striker also tried to be to fancy by holding the ball too long and also unable to maintain his composure when inside the box. Already a permanent signing with Perak, it is hoped that he acclimatizes well with the Northern region side and I'm sure, he will continue to become a hit with the fans if he doesn't repeat today's performance.

Chan Wing Hoong, once rated as one of the best left backs in Malaysia was just out of sorts in today's game and also in the previous leg as age has caught up into him. The 34 year old defender, who was bamboozled by Amirulhadi Zainal and Fithri Shazwan, couldn't keep up with the pace of the game and was caught napping in some occasions.

Perak's strikeforce and also wingers made Selangor's look good as they couldn't exert themselves and in my opinion, they weren't they're usual selves in this game. Star man, Akmal Rizal Rakhli, made his presence felt by creating chances and also moving the attack but his fitness is questionable. Failee, did most of the dirty work as he pressured the Selangor defenders but his pressures were purely in vain.

Isma Alif, had a quiet game whereas, Fazrul Hazli had one brilliant moment in the game but after that, his performance dipped. Selangor led by the stout Nasriq Baharom and overrated, Asraruddin Putra, were able to nullify the attack and Perak certainly made Selangor's defense look good today.

After the game, Manager, Khairul Azwan and President, Datuk Zainol Padzi Paharuddin, promised new changes for the squad and I'm hopeful that they will be able to bring in class acts in to comprehend with the current squad.

Players like Wan Hossein, Chan Wing Hoong, Hafisizuan Salehuddin and Mohd Nuridzuan should find for new clubs as they don't seem to be cut out for Perak. They are great individuals but they should look for greener pastures in order to improve their careers.

As a Perak fan, It was a great to see more than 30,000 fans converging into the stadium as it has been a long time since such a phenomenon has happened. However, they didn't deserve to see such a display from the Perak squad as Norizan should plot his 'story' for next season.

Since 7, I'm a Seladang fan and next season, I want good stories to turn out from Perak FA. As a fan and a reporter, it's a boon to have such a privilage!

Avinesh says: Predicted a 2-0 victory, but we lost..Abang Fairus predicted 3-0 for Perak, I'm sure he will be cutting a forlorn figure..Mann, I'm worst than Shebby Singh laa...hehehehe...
