P.Maniam rejoices, Zainol looks to the future..

A crestfallen Norizan Bakar offered little comments for the game but he thanked the players and also lauded their efforts for qualifying till the quarter final stages

"I would like to thank my players as they have shown their determination through their game play and qualifying till the quarter final stages is a good development as we are redeveloping the state squad" said the man known as 'Cikgu Jan'.

Selangor's interim coach, P.Maniam was a happy man as he stated that they have proved their credentials as a strong side after beating Perak.

However, he expressed disappointment with Amri Yahyah's injury as the player has suffered a knee injury after being tackled by Hisyamuddin Shaari.

"Amri's injury will certainly deplete the squad as his experience and dedication will be sorely missed by the team.

"We will assess Amri's injury and also examine the abilities of Rudie Ramli and Fadzli Shaari as we need a good replacement to replace Amri" stated P.Maniam, who is on a 4 game unbeaten run.

He also commended Perak's performance as he stated that the side has got a good attacking play but his team were much clinical in their counter attacks.

Selangor's star man, Safiq Rahim, who is on a renaissance, is glad that the team has qualified for the semi finals and stated that the team will have to keep their momentum going.

"I'm happy that the mission 33 is still on although we have gone through bumps and the players are part of the renaissance as we have been consistent and the tactics have augured well for us.

"Next we will be facing Terengganu and we will be threading this tie with caution as we will not look down on Terengganu" stated Safiq, who has scored 4 goals in his last 4 games.

Perak FA's president, Datuk Zainol Padzi Paharuddin stated that he was glad with the team's performance and he was brought aback with the number of crowd as he never expected such a bumper crowd for the game.

"I was shocked with the bumper crowd as the fans have been a pivotal force for the team's resurgence and to satisfy their expectations, we will be strengthening the team next season and mount a fight in our upcoming challenges.

"We will be strengthening the team next season as we will rectify the positions needed to be strengthened and we have looked at some players from local and abroad to chart our fortunes next season" stated Datuk Zainol who attended for the game today.
