Academies to help prosper Perak's football development

Datuk Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir, the Chief Minister of Perak, who is an avid fan of the Perak football team, has announced plans to open up a football academy in Perak this year.
The Perak football team, which was in the doldrums for many years, improved drastically last season as they gave a good account of themselves in the Malaysian league last season.
To continue this momentous run, the state government has made plans to develop football in the state of Perak and to start it off; they’ve made plans to build an academy this year.
“Football is an important sport for the Perak folks, thus we have already discussed with Perak FA’s new sponsors, Vale and they have given the green light to conduct the football development in Perak” stated Dr. Zambry
The academy will not only produce football players from Perak but also develop the state of football in Perak which is fast gaining reputation among the football associations in Malaysia.
Having breeded players like Mohd Fadhli Shas, Shahrulnizam Mustapha, K.Nanthakumar, S.Subramaniam and Ahmad Shahrul Azhar for the National team in the past, this academy is aimed at developing players not just for the state but also for Malaysia.
They are currently on the hunt for sponsors to fund for the academy and the progress has been steady since the plan was mooted.
“Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharuddin and I will discuss the measure to develop the academy and we will also discuss plans for the future as we want to improve the fortunes of our state side”
The Perak FA and state government have earmarked a location for the academy and from now on, the state FA will be going around districts in Perak to search for new talents and also spots to build academies.
Datuk Seri Dr.Zambry attended the Perak FA 2012 Season launch which saw more than 200 fans attending for the launch.
The team was unveiled today and they also showcased the New jerseys sponsored by Korean Sports retailers, Kika. The team also unveiled their seven new signings. Vale, a Brazilian Mining Company which recently set its base in Perak, will be the main sponsors for the Perak team. The team led by astute tactician, Haji Norizan Bakar is expected to finish the season with at least trophy.
