Michal Kubala, one of the foreign players for Perak this season is happy with his new found surroundings though he found it complicated at first.
The 31 year old Slovakian midfielder was selected by Perak's coach, Norizan Bakar after impressing in his trials together with Serbian striker, Lazar Popovic. Since then, he has earned rave reviews from football enthusiats and fans after impressing in his pre season games with Perak.
"When i first arrived at Perak, the situation was complicated but now I'm happy that I've acclimatized to the surroundings" stated the former Slovan Bratislava player
He also added that his teammates speak fluent English as it is easier for him to communicate in the field. However, he lamented the weather conditions as he first struggled with the humid weather in Perak
"When I was in for my first training,I got tired after 20 minutes of training session but now I'm used to the weather and this shouldn't be a problem for me in the coming months"
Kubala also commended his new teammates as he is impressed with the level of play shown by the local players in Perak but claimed that team will be in for a tough season as many teams have bolstered their sides with quality signings.
"They were good on Friday as they played well against Pos Malaysia. We scored three goals and we created many chances but were weren't clinical enough,
"However, we are in for a tough season as every team in the Super League have signed 2 foreign players and talented local players for their sides" said the man fondly known as 'Kuba
The Slovakian has vowed to help Perak perform well in the league and he has stated that he wants to play well and bring glory for the 'Kejor Yeop Kejor' side.
The player who last played in the Romanian league also expressed his delight with head coach, Norizan Bakar as the man known as 'Cikgu Jan' as he described him as one of the best coaches in Malaysia and he understands the instructions given out by the 50 year old coach
Kubala, who was present during the Perak FA 2012 Season launch at the Chief Minister's Official Residence in Ipoh stated that the atmosphere is slowly peaking up and he was grateful to see the fans who came for the launch today.
"The fans here great and today's event certainly bonded us with fans"
He event joked that today's event was almost on par with the events conducted by Spanish Primera League giants, Real Madrid. Michal Kubala is expected to partner Shahrulnizam Mustapha in central midfield and he has vowed to provide many chances for his teammates and also do his best by scoring goals for the Kinta Valley based side.
Having played his first game in Ipoh, the midfielder impressed against Pos Malaysia FC as he helped Perak to beat them 3-1. Two goals scored by new signing, Lazar Popovic and a goal from 22 year winger, Fazrul Hazli Kadri were enough to sink the 'Postmens' in last Friday's friendly.
