The 26 year old forward who started his career with FC Seoul, first embarked into Europe by joining 2004 Champions League finalist, FC Monaco in 2008.
Creating a lasting impression there, the South Korean played 91 games for the team and scored 25 goals. His goalscoring rate might not be enticing but his all around display has impressed Arsene Wenger, who is under great deal of pressure after the 8-2 defeat at Old Trafford.
Coming from Wenger's former club, Park has the attributes to be a success at Emirates. The second Asian to join Arsenal this season after Japanese youngster, Ryo Miyachi.
Many fans will doubt this signing but my only advice, be patient and this lad will do wonders at Emirates.
His passing, set pieces and ability to carve out a chance out of nothing, will impress the fans who have been disappointed with the abysmal start and the lack of credible signings for the team.
Gervinho, who was the only star signing for Arsenal, will now be aided by the likes of Park. Coming from the same league, both of them will compliment each other well and Robin Van Persie will thrive from their services.
With rumours abound that Andre Santos and Per Mertesacker will be brought in to reinforce the squad, fans can expect a much stronger Arsenal this season and with 8 players bound to return to the squad after 2 weeks of International break, Wenger will be expected to carve out wins for the team.
It is hopeful that Park Chu Young will play a major role in the Premier League and a fresh pair of legs in the team will do the team a world of wonders!
Hopefully, he will make us forget the 8-2 debacle!!
Avinesh's verdict: Ju, make yourself count!! Make the fans believe in you and please make sure that the number 9 jersey is in the right hands...Make Asia proud, Park!!!
i doubt this signing initially because his scoring rate is not impressed me..I thought Wenger will buy a striker that better than Chamakh and Bendtner.. well, since he is bought in now,i have to trust him, hope he will prove me wrong..
