The ban stays..Moving on is the best thing...

Without any internet facilities in my hostel, I had to find for a Wifi spot in Kampar. 7.30 PM, at last i managed to get internet access thanks to UTAR's Library. The moment, my google homepage popped out, I immediately checked Perak's result at Kota Kinabalu, the fate of the 5 players and also Safee's impending trials at Cardiff City.

To my amazement, the 5 players bans were not overturned and they will have to be on the sidelines for the next seven matches. Damning it maybe, but the result has to be accepted. The team will have to move on and I'm sure Cikgu Jan will have something up on his sleeves.

FAM should have been transparent in this issue as even FAs from England, Germany and Netherlands would have placed such ban. 7 games for such a conduct is just too much. In football, emotions tend to get high and words will be said around. These players confronted the referee for an explanation but they just didn't get the answers.

However, in his report, it was reported that the players manhandled him and used vulgar words to confront him. I'm not trying to say that their right by doing so but i just feel that the ban should have been reduced as their professional players and since we are in the path of improving our football, these players are needed to raise the standard.

Five first team players, fans are claiming that there is a conspiracy, this is not the right time to speculate and I'm sure FAM would be in a spot of bother as the hardcore Perak fans have voiced their displeasure about the issue.

Drawing with Sabah 0-0, this is not a news that we wouldn't want to hear. I'm sure Shahrulnizam, Akmal, Azmeer, Syazwan and Nasril would be disappointed with the verdict. Furthermore, Akmal, Shahrulnizam and Nasril are the pillars for the team and they have played for the national team.

At first, they were allowed to play against Sabah but after this they will have to pray that Perak qualifies till the quarter finals. It's an arduous task for Perak but with three loan signings and a man with vast technical knowledge, we will have the chance to qualify for the next stage.

As fans, we shall just pray that the team will bounce back from this news and the youngsters in the team should take this chance to exert themselves in the Cup. Being unruly will not help and we just have to be behind our team in order for them to succeed.

FAM will go thorugh barracks of criticisms for this but being the main footballing body in Malaysia, they will not be unperturbed.

Avinesh's verdict: This is the time to prove FAM wrong!!! and bring joy for the five players!!! We will be stronger from now on...
