Not clinical enough..Something has to be done when facing Kedah..

They might have won against Johor, but they shouldn't let this victory get into their heads. In that game, Perak could have buried Johor but they were frailties in them during the game.

First of all, Perak's strikers aren't clinical enough in front of goal. Though the 2 goals scored are from Mohd Failee Ghazali and Syafiq Jamal, both forwards but they could have got more if they were much more aware of their finishing.

Failee himself had 6 to 7 chances to score but his inability to finish chances off put him down. Syafiq Jamal seems to be going through a 'Torres' syndrome as he is unable to fully maximize his potential. The 23 year old Kedahan impressed in friendlies but in his first 2 games, he has been a shadow of himself.

Shazuan Ashraf Mathews who was brought in for Failee failed to increase his reputation as he squandered two chances and gave away a needles freekick which resulted in Johor's goal.

The loss of Akmal Rizal Rakhli through suspension can be felt as he would have done better with the chances if presented to him. However, these strikers should buck up if they were to beat Kedah's defence in their next game at Perak Stadium.

Perak should also improve their mental composure as they easily allowed Johor to claw back into the game. The last 5 minutes of the game was nerve wracking for Perak fans as the defense had to absorb the onslaught of Johor's offense.

The central defensive partnership of Khairi Zainuddin and Hisyamuddin Shaari were in cruise control for 85 minutes but they were in shambles in the last 5 minutes as their frantic defending was a cause for concern.

Norizan Bakar, former protege of Allan Harris, would surely see this frailties and stated that the lost of the 5 players would affect the rhythm of the team and they will pull through in the coming games.

Facing Kedah on the 13th, Perak will have to fix this frailties if they were to beat their northern region rivals. With Badrol Bakhtiar suspended for the game at Perak Stadium, Perak should capitalise on his absence.

Though Kedah have other top lads like Faizal Abu Bakar, Azmi Muslim, Khyril Muhymeen and Sabree Abu, the lost of Badrol will be sorely felt by the team.

Eventhough, Perak do not have Shahrulnizam, Akmal and Nasril, with the same squad, they have what it takes to beat Kedah. However, they have to be mentally composed and they should be more clinical on front of goal.

The roars of Kejor Yeor Kejor will be heard next Tuesday and hopefully the Seladangs will come good against the much favoured canaries.

Avinesh's verdict: Failee looks wicked but he should be more clinical in front of goal whereas Syafiq is just not performing..He is like a Yo-yo!!
